With over ten years experience in the rapidly evolving field of decorative painting, we are adept at most traditional effects, including colorwashing, distressing, stenciling, gilding, antiquing, marbling, and graining. The examples below merely hint at the diversity and richness of our work. Only in consultation with you can we create the unique look that will most beautify your space.
Most of our finishes are protected by topcoats in your choice of sheen from Matte to Gloss. Topcoats can make any custom finish more scrubbable, water- and stain-resistant than standard paint or wallpaper. Additional products are available to provide water-proofing and UV protection as needed. Almost all of our products can be re-coated without stripping, and even the heaviest textures can be smoothed over with one skimcoat - but with proper protection and maintenance, one might never need or want to! We specialize in designing finishes with classic appeal and durability so that your investment enhances the value as well as aesthetic of the space. Like custom moldings and stone installations, the artisan plasters can stand the test of time and obtain heirloom status in the finest of homes.

This popular finish is acheived by layering plasters tinted to different tones. The visual effect is that of aged plaster that has worn away and "discolored" (conveniently in the exact tones to compliment your decor!) The physical texture is slightly irregular, but much smoother than it looks. As a patchwork process, repairs can be made on this finish without sanding or need to re-work the entire wall. Available in both acrylic and lime based products.

Centuries ago, the art of decorative painting got started by the need to replicate materials that were either too expensive or too heavy to place where they were wanted. The tradition lives on today, and we love to amaze our clients with it.

This classic never goes out of style. Our sky ceilings are amazingly realistic.

Our most popular finish, this product MUST be seen in person. The velvety smoothness and subtle color variation of this classic technique are unrivaled. Available in durable acrylic or traditional lime formulas. Can be burnished to a glass-like shine.

We offer original designs as well as reproductions. This mural was painted on a porous tile before sealing. Most of our mural work lands on walls, of course, like the macaws pictured below.

The cobblestones you see on the right-hand side above are modeled out of plaster-of-paris and painted to blend in with the real cobblestones on the left. A new building code required a structural beam where a finished column would have been too formal. This faux job saved the owners vision, and even fooled the mason.
